Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

There is a public car park on site, it is pay and display.

If the first car park you reach is full there is more parking available up the valley just past Cafe Mylor. The charges are £1 per hour for the first 4 hours booked, then £5 for all day.

If a deposit is made via bank deposit, we require you to send as an email to confirm when this is done.

The full payment due on the day of hire. If you book 48 hours or less before the booking date then you will need to pay in full when booking.

To get parking sorted, signed in and kitted up aim to be with us 15 minutes early.

We aim to start all of our sessions at the agreed start time, so however long you feel it will take to get sorted – Upon arrival you will need to read our booking conditions, complete our booking form and settle up any final payment. We suggest this all takes no more than 5 minutes.

This really depends on conditions on the day, if it is hot and sunny then t-shirt and shorts will be fine. Overcast or a little cooler and a jacket will make all the difference for kayaking and it might be time to consider a wetsuit for paddleboarding. There is always more UV exposure on the water so suncream is adviced. Sun glasses are useful but please make sure they are good fitting or are tied on just in case!

We do have wetsuits available for rent at £5. Currently we aren’t able to provide changing facilities so please come as ready to go as possible or prepared to get changed by your car.

Please note you will need to step in the water to launch all of our equipment so barefoot, sandals or beach shoes are great, trainers will get a little soggy.

An hour rental is a great way to test the water if you haven’t done much on the paddling before. 3 hours is plenty of time to explore Mylor creek or head up to The Pandora Inn for a snack. For the more adventurous, Truro river, Devoran and St Just are all with in reach for a full day rental.

We have single and double kayaks. Singles, while designed for 1 adult can accommodate a small child or dog too. For a bit more comfort, a double is a better option. Doubles have 2 seats, but there is a space in the middle for a child.

All of our activities include buoyancy aids.

Kayaks come with paddles, back supports/seats, and safety packs.

Paddleboards come with paddles and leashes.

For off site rentals paddleboards also come with transport bags and pumps.

If you do not have a wetsuit and would like to rent on they are available for £5 for on site sessions.
