Jeanneau Sun 2500

A well mannered user friendly 25ft boat. This is a great stepping stone from smaller keel boats to larger yachts. She is able to carry 6 people comfortably and has berths for 4.

We require the skipper to hold a minimum of Day Skipper and have appropriate experience

Maximum 6 persons, berths for 4
No dogs or smoking onboard

On deck there is a large cockpit so the group has the security of being in the boat rather than on the rail. All rig controls are led back to the coach roof making it easy to sail with a smaller crew. The tiller steering and twin rudders give a ‘big dinghy’ feel and responsiveness. The furling jib and reefing main sail, with lazy jacks makes sail management very straight forward. For the more experienced skippers there is an asymmetric spinnaker available to hire. The low open transom and swim ladder makes going for a dip at a secluded beach hassle free. Jumping in the tender here requires far less acrobatic ability than climbing off the side decks.

Powered by a diesel inboard there is no messing about hanging off the transom trying to sort out outboards. Close quarter maneuvering is greatly improved by the inboard.

Down stairs there is a navigation table with instrument panel, vhf and plotter. The basic galley comprises a cool chest, meths hob, and sink. There is a heads with, sea toilet and sink: this doubles as a convenient drying room for life jackets and waterproofs. The Foreward portion of the cabin holds a dining table and settees, this also forms the twin berth Forepeak. to the rear there is a double berth. We do not provide any linen or cooking equipment, other than a kettle, cups and spoons for teas and coffees, so please bring anything you require.

The Sun 2500 is a lovely family boat or perfect for a friends weekend trip on the water. Big enough to have a few creature comforts, but small enough to still explore the area fully.

How does staying overnight work?

When you have two or more Consecutive days hire, the nights inbetween are inculded.

To charter this boat we require the skipper to hold a minimum of Day Skipper and have appropriate experience. At the time of booking we will want to know what other boats you have sailed; for how long and where, and a summary of your log book is always useful.

Due to the longer briefing and extra cleaning needed for this boat, the first day charter is more more expensive than subsequent days. If you plan to stay on a mooring or at anchor then we have inflatable tenders or paddleboards available to rent.
