These terms and conditions are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our customers.

*Note: The Jeanneau Sun 2500 has separate terms and conditions.

Health and safety
Prior to your activity you will have a safety briefing and must fill in the booking form. You will also be required to leave a form of photo ID e.g. driver’s license.

If you have any medical conditions please make a note of this on your booking form and inform a member of staff or your instructor.

An Adult (18 years or over) must be onboard and responsible for the operation vessel.

Responsibility of a sailing vessel must be taken by a competent sailor, Mylor Boat Hire reserve the right to cancel your hire session if they feel you are likely to cause danger to any person, persons or property.

Please understand there is a risk of injury and death in all Watersports. Know your ability and limits and follow all guidance and instructions given in the safety briefing.

Mylor Boat Hire are licensed and insured for good weather conditions only, including the sea state and visibility, this must be adhered to. The decision whether or not to let hire vessels out is always the responsibility of the Mylor Boat Hire staff on duty at the time.

Limit of operations will be at the discretion of the Mylor Boat Hire staff on the day of Hire taking in to consideration weather conditions and ability.

Payment

No booking is regarded as confirmed until a 50% deposit is received. With full payment due on the day of hire.

Refunds and cancellation
Cancellations by us:
We reserve the right to cancel any of our hires, tours or lessons at any point due to circumstances outside of our control such as, adverse weather conditions or equipment damage, you will be given a full refund unless an alternative vessel or dates are available and agreed.

Cancellations by you:
Cancellation of sessions with less than 48 Hours’ notice will not be entitled to a refund.

Cancellation of sessions with more than 48 Hours’ notice but less than one week will receive a voucher to an equivalent value to be redeemed with 1 year.

Cancellations of sessions with over one weeks’ notice will receive a full refund.

Equipment Damage
We pride ourselves on the high standard of our equipment so please inform us of any damage you find prior to your activity. Loss or major damage of the vessel will result in the customer paying up to £500. Should the Customer need recovering from an area they have been advised not to enter either by the provided chart or by a staff member they will be liable for the full £500 damage fee.

Other essential equipment damage or loss will also be charged.

Returning the vessel

The vessel must be returned to the same location from which it was hired, if you return the vessel late then you will be liable to pay £30 for every hour or part thereof. Should the vessel be returned in a dirty or untidy state there is a cleaning charge of £30.

Misbehaviour

Anyone who, in the opinion of Mylor Boat Hire staff, is unfit for any session, or who behaves in such a way likely to cause danger to themselves, other customers and other water users will be excluded from sessions. Smoking is strictly prohibited on any hire vessel. It is strictly prohibited to consume, be under the influence of, or to be in the possession of any alcohol and drugs whilst taking part in any activity relating to your session. Sessions terminated by us due to misbehaviour, consumption of alcohol or drugs and smoking onboard will not be entitled to any refund.

Liability

Mylor Boat Hire insures the vessels for public liability but it will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to the customer party or possessions, howsoever caused. The customer will be liable for up to £500 of damage to any vessel. Save where deliberate damage has been caused, when customer will be liable for the full cost of the damage. The customer uses the vessel at their own risk and Mylor Boat Hire accepts no liability for any damage, loss, or death as a result of any vessel or equipment.

Maximum Capacity and Limit of Operation for each vessel:

We reserve the right to terminate hire at any time and repossess the boat if we have reason to believe you are not adhering to the following maximum capacity and limit of operation.

Motor Picarooner: 5 persons | St Anthony’s Lighthouse to Pendennis Castle | Inside the times of sunrise and sunset

Motor/Eco Launch/Pilot : 8 persons | St Anthony’s Lighthouse to Pendennis Castle | Inside the times of sunrise and sunset

Cornish Shrimper: 5 persons | St Anthony’s Lighthouse to Nare Point | Inside the times of sunrise and sunset

Confirmation
By signing for responsibility of the vessel you confirm that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
