Agreement to Terms

You will receive a waiver via email along with your booking confirmation. This must be signed before your hire begins.

By signing the waiver, you confirm that you have read and agree to the full terms and conditions of Mylor Boat Hire. You understand that failure to follow safety instructions may result in injury, loss, or the termination of your hire without a refund. As the lead name on the booking, you accept responsibility for all individuals in your group and ensure they adhere to all rules and safety guidelines.

Health & Safety
• A safety briefing will be given before departure.
• The Skipper must provide photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) and a valid Day Skipper certificate or above. We may also ask for your log book.
• Inform staff about any medical conditions.
• An adult (18+) must be onboard and responsible for operating the vessel.
• You must be a competent sailor to operate the Jeanneau Sun 2500. If staff deem you unfit to safely operate the boat, we can cancel your hire.
• There are risks of injury or death in all water-based activities. Follow the safety briefing instructions.

Operational Limitations
• Charters must stay within the area from St Anthony’s Lighthouse to Nare Point.
• Operations are subject to the discretion of Mylor Boat Hire staff. We can cancel the booking if conditions are unsafe.
• For multi-day bookings, the vessel must be secured at anchor (manned), on a pontoon, or mooring at least an hour before sunset each day.

Payment & Refunds
• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with full payment due on the day of the charter.
• If we cancel your booking due to weather or equipment issues, you will receive a full refund unless an alternative vessel or date is arranged.
• Cancellations made by you within one week are non-refundable.
• If you cancel more than one week in advance, you will receive a credit to use within 18 months.

Equipment Damage
• Inspect the vessel for damage before departure. Report any damage or incidents immediately.
• You may be charged up to £600 for major damage or loss of the vessel.
• If you cause damage due to poor judgment or enter restricted areas, you will be responsible for the full damage fee.

Returning the Vessel
• Return the vessel to the same location it was hired from. Late returns will incur a £100 charge per hour (or part thereof).
• A £150 cleaning charge will apply if the vessel is returned untidy or unclean. These charges must be paid before departure.


Misbehaviour & Alcohol
• Smoking is strictly prohibited onboard.
• Alcohol is allowed only when safely moored on a pontoon or mooring. Drugs are not allowed.
• Misbehaviour, drinking or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or smoking onboard will result in the immediate termination of your session without a refund.


Liability
• Mylor Boat Hire has public liability insurance but is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage.
• You are responsible for up to £600 of damage to the vessel. If damage is caused by gross negligence or intent, you are responsible for the full cost.
• You operate the vessel at your own risk.


Maximum Capacity & Operational Limits
• Jeanneau Sun 2500: Maximum 6 persons, no dogs.
• The vessel must stay between St Anthony’s Lighthouse and Nare Point
